CLASSES AT THE WORKSHOPS

German has been an apprentice artist his whole life. “When I was a kid,” he says, “at Graphic Design school I had photography class, it was the times of film photography and sending rolls to the lab to be developed. I still remember very vividly, the day I entered the darkroom for the first time. I dipped an exposed piece of photographic paper into a developer liquid and, like magic, an image started forming on the surface of the paper. It was a magic, unforgettable moment. The experience of that day defined my life. In time I became a photographer and that gave me the chance to travel, to meet people, and get to places where no one else could be”.

At the workshop, we value the experience of learning. Learning is passion, and we love sharing our passion and experiences. “I want to contribute with my experience to let other people find the spark, get inspired, and expand their skills”. Our classes focus on specialties that ignite creativity: historic photographic processes, analog photography, digital photography, painting, collage illustration, dioramas, scale models, graphic design, antique printing techniques, craftsmanship, book-making, historic processes, digital retouching, and visual arts.

We work with small groups, generally, our classes are for four students, but we may arrange one on one tutorials, private classes on-site for bigger groups, workshops at schools, and eventually, social events. Our state-of-the-art photography darkroom is equipped with all the necessary tools to work comfortably and safely.

Explore our current activities and class calendar on our events page, or contact us to request info on a particular workshop. Different classes are introduced during the year and you may suggest a favorite topic to be included in the future. Here at the workshop, there is something about following one’s passions and fulfilling dreams in every project.
